List all of the dogs you're interested on the application. <br/><br/>Reiko is a 7-year-old neutered Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix who is intelligent, loyal, and exceptionally well trained. He knows a variety of commands, including heel, sit, and “pretty,” and walks beautifully on leash. He is also fully crate trained, rarely barks, and does very well with structure, routine, and clear direction.<br/><br/>Reiko forms a strong bond with his person and would do best in a quiet, predictable home with one experienced adult handler who understands dogs with behavioral challenges. He is not a dog who can safely fit into a typical family household.<br/><br/>Reiko has fear-based aggression as well as prey-driven behavior and a bite history. He cannot be placed in a home with children and should not have access to children or other vulnerable individuals. His new person will need to be comfortable managing these behaviors responsibly and maintaining appropriate safety precautions. Because of his history, an experienced, adult-only home with minimal visitors and a calm environment would be the best fit.<br/><br/>Despite his challenges, Reiko has many wonderful qualities. He is quiet, highly trainable, responsive to his handler, and already has an excellent foundation of obedience and crate training. With the right person who understands his limitations and is willing to provide the structure and management he needs, Reiko has the potential to be a deeply devoted companion.<br/><br/>Reiko is UTD on vaccinations and is on preventative for flea tick and heartworm.
