Reika is a shy and nervous girl at first, but she is a quick learner who wants to show her people how smart and sweet she is. Once you earn her trust, she is a super gentle, loveable dog who sometimes doesn&#39;t understand her size, wanting to be as close to her humans as possible. Reika is the perfect balance of playful, and active when she is outside running free in the backyard, and calm and relaxed when indoors. Reika would do best in a home with a fully fenced backyard where she has the ability to run and play with her toys, and most importantly play with her favourite toy of all - any kind of ball.<br/><br/>At night time, she enjoys relaxing and being close to the people in the home. She is currently fostered with another dog, and with a slow introduction, she was respectful of his cues, and waited for him to be ready to engage and play with. When meeting new dogs, Reika is nervous and submissive at first, but then she opens up and plays well with good manners. Reika has shown to not like to share her space with other female dogs, so a future home with another male dog would be the best fit for Reika. Reika is both house and crate trained, and continues to work on her leash manners as she has shown to be scared of loud noises and startles at objects that frighten her while out on walks. Reika&#39;s future adopters will need to be committed to continuing her leash training to build her confidence being out in the big scary World. Reika is the most happiest with being at home with her people and loves being pet and having snuggles.<br/><br/>Reikas ideal adopters will need to have a quiet home and will understand that they need to be patient with her while she adjusts to her new surroundings.
