Reggie's Story
Reggie (formerly Rocky B, aka “Baseball Player”) needs a committed foster or adopter anywhere in the Northeast.<br/><br/>He is currently in New York.<br/><br/>Reggie originally came into the Animal Care Centers of NYC as a stray in early 2025. He was adopted and spent nine months in a home before being returned after a collar-handling incident. Since then, he’s been waiting for stability.<br/><br/>Despite everything, he loves his people.<br/><br/>The good stuff:<br/>• Neutered<br/>• Crate trained<br/>• Housetrained (alerts to go out)<br/>• Leash trained<br/>• Good in the car<br/>• Toy lover<br/>• Big couch nap guy<br/>• Very people-focused<br/><br/>He previously lived with an adult and child and was described as playful and outgoing.<br/><br/>Dog note:<br/>Reggie has not had a proper dog test outside of the shelter environment, so he will need his own space initially and very slow, structured introductions after a full decompression period. No immediate dog integrations.<br/><br/>Hasn’t been tested with cats.<br/><br/>He is also currently undergoing a vet assessment for an eye issue, and we will ensure all medical care is handled. He is likely blind in one eye.
