Reece's Story
Peaches eight puppies were born January 14th in a loving DRDR foster home. There are 4 boys and 4 girls and all are healthy pups who’ve had age appropriate vaccinations and wormer. Peaches was rescued from a backyard breeder who thought he could make a lot of money breeding Pitbulls…a story we hear all too often. Peaches has found her forever home with her foster family…whoop whoop!!! And we are hoping and praying her littles will be as lucky as their momma. The puppies will have their glamour shots soon but we wanted to post them asap because they are just so darn cute!! Peaches and puppies are living in a foster home with mom & dad, two small kiddos, a smaller dog and a squirrel…yes a squirrel!! The puppies love paying with the kids!! All of the puppies have blue eyes – at least for now. Not only are these puppies adorable but they have the cutest names thanks to their foster mom! Since the foster family doesn’t have a fenced yard, DRDR provided a 10x10 pen so the puppies can run & play outside a few hours a day on these warm Spring days. They love rolling and playing in the hay which lines their pen. Peaches is a small, petite pittie – weighing approximately 35-40lbs so we expect the puppies to be a similar size and weight.
Males: MilkyWay is the largest of the litter and is super friendly & playful. MilkyWay and his brother Snickers have already mastered climbing on top of the dog house and barking at their subjects below. Both are quick learners and leaders. Brother Crunch can be a little shy at first but he warms up quickly. Reece is the most laid back of the male pups but enjoys playing with his littermates.
Females: BabyRuth has more of a chocolate color with beautiful brindle hues becoming visible. She is playful and a bit laid back. Kit-Kat is the smallest of the litter but may be the tallest when it’s all said and done. Mommas tend to dote on the smaller pups and it is no different with Kit-Kat and her foster mom! While all of the puppies are weaned from Peaches, Kit-Kat is getting a little extra nutrition so she can gain weight. Kit-Kat loves to chase & play with her human sisters. Almond Joy is the Tomboy of the girls. She enjoys rough housing with her brothers. She lives to play! Last but not least, Butterfinger is the most laid back. When Peaches gave birth, little Butterfinger’s unbiblical cord was pulled too hard which left a hole in her belly. Butterfinger was taken directly to the vet and got stitches. She was barely an hour or two old. She has developed a hernia in this same spot which will be corrected when she is spayed.
If you are interested in adopting any of these sweethearts, please complete an adoption application at www.ditroaddoggiesrescue.org Adopt Me page. The adoption fee includes remaining vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip.
