Red's Story
Have you ever seen a more handsome pup? Red is a 3 year old American English Coonhound mix that recently arrived from Virginia. He has a gorgeous red and white spotted coat that’s slightly fluffy and very soft. He weighs about 60 lbs.

Red is a friend to absolutely everyone - human, canine and feline alike. He has an amazing temperament and gets so excited to meet new people with the biggest tail wags! He is still learning manners and may jump up on you to say hello, but all he wants is to bury himself into you for some extra love and pets. He absolutely loves to zoom around the yard with the other dogs in his foster home including 3 puppies - he would be great with any dog, big or small. He is curious about the cats but simply likes to say “hello” and then walks away. Red recently attended a busy adoption event during a parade and he did wonderful with all of the people and action around him. He walks wonderfully on leash and is content to chill during the day while his foster mom works from home.

Red is still learning some manners and could use some structure with things like counter surfing, but he is not destructive in his foster home. He was marking in the house when he first arrived but that has completely stopped and he hasn’t had any accidents in several days. He sleeps through the night in a crate with no issues, but would be fine to sleep on a dog bed or with you as well. He would benefit from a secure fenced in yard as he is a typical curious hound. He was recently neutered and is utd on vaccines.

Red would make a really wonderful family dog, hiking companion or farm helper. He is genuinely so good natured and will thrive in a loving home.

Let’s help Red find his family in time for the holidays!

He is fostered in Hunterdon County NJ

http://www.coldnosewarmheart.org/dog-application.html
@cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj
