Red Chihuahua Mix Minneapolis, MN

Hi! I’m Red and my favorite animal is the fox! Can you even believe how much we look alike? Maybe I’m even a descendent. Okay, maybe not. A girl can dream.

Anyway.. I’m 7lbs. I love to play. I’m soft as velvet and ready to have some fun with my family!

Get to know me…

Age: 10 months old

Hobbies: Following my nose, sniffing all the things (snow doesn’t stop me), playing, laying on the back of the couch, looking out the window, giving kisses, and cuddling

Good with dogs? I live with other small dogs and I desperately want them to play with me! I’d love to have a playmate in the house! I haven’t met a bigger dog yet but I’m open to it.

Good with cats? I’ve never met one!

Good with kids? I don’t currently live with kids but I may be okay with older, dog savvy children. I’m pretty friendly with new people but I’m still a Chihuahua and younger kids may be a bit too much for me.

Working on: I am getting the hang of potty training! I already know that I get a treat for going outside and I even know how to “sit”! Because of my small size, I might need a potty pad by the door just in case! I’m also getting used to being on leash and going where the people go.

Home type: I like to sing the song of my people for awhile after you leave so I can’t be in a shared wall space. I’ve got a pretty good set of pipes! I don’t need a fenced in yard but would appreciate a long lead so I can explore!

From my soft, gorgeous fur to my deep, soulful eyes, I’m what they call a catch! I can’t wait to wiggle right into your heart!

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.

Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 90-mile radius of Minneapolis; however, we will consider up to 250 miles if the applicant is willing to drive to cities as needed.
