Red (55lb)'s Story
RED
9 yr COONHOUND X
55 lbs
Female

Red — affectionately known in her foster home as Miss Red — has a wonderfully endearing mix of gentle, motherly charm and lovable clumsiness. Her vision isn’t the best, and when she picks up speed on hardwood floors, she may slide a bit, which only adds to her character. She enjoys playing and chasing her younger foster siblings, but if things get too rowdy, she’s quick to step in and restore order with her signature howl.

Red is highly food-motivated and has a particular fondness for anything bread-related. If it’s within reach, she will find it — her nose is truly impressive! She enjoys spending time outdoors with her foster brothers, though cold weather isn’t her favorite. During the winter months, she happily wears a sweater both indoors and out.

While Red enjoys a short, leisurely walk around the block to sniff and explore, she much prefers hopping in the car and joining you for a ride. She would do well as an only dog, but could also thrive with another friendly canine companion.

As a senior dog, Red does need frequent bathroom breaks, though she is able to hold it comfortably while resting in her room during the day. She would be an excellent match for someone who works from home or is retired, as she doesn’t require much physical activity. In fact, a simple walk around the block is enough to tire her out — and if given the choice, she’d happily trade walks for car rides every time!

Overall, Red is a sweet, quirky girl who will bring warmth, humor, and loving companionship to the right home.

ADOPTION FEE: $300

If you are interested in adoption, instead of emailing PARS, please download the Application form at:
www.peelanimalrescuesociety.com/adopt-a-dog
Fill the form and email to:
info@peelanimalrescuesociety.com
