Red's Story

Red is a 3-year-old pit mix who has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite. He's social and affiliative with his people, the kind of dog who makes fast friends and sticks close to the humans he trusts.
He's active and athletic. This is not a couch-ornament dog. Red loves to do things. Tug is his love language. Fetch is his cardio. He'll play until you tell him it's time to stop, because when he's engaged, he's all in: focused, driven, and happy.
With other dogs, Red is like a new kid in the class mid-semester. Unsure of his place, kind of awkward, not really sure how to fit in. A thoughtful meet & greet will help him figure out his place with other dogs! He has no known history with cats.
Red has done well with older kids. Because of his play drive and enthusiasm, any home with younger children would need a solid management plan, the kind that comes from people who understand he may knock over kids or want to play wrestle mania in the house. All in good fun.
