Rebel #14's Story

Rebel #14 is a 9-year-old, gorgeous black male Labrador weighing about 70 pounds of pure sweetness. He may have lost his sight, but he hasn’t lost his joy, spirit, or ability to love deeply. Rebel was surrendered after serving his life as a hunting dog when his vision loss made him “no longer useful.” Despite that heartbreaking turn, Rebel remains happy, playful, and remarkably resilient. He adjusts quickly to new surroundings and navigates his world with quiet confidence — guided by his other senses and, most importantly, by human kindness.

Shelter life was understandably stressful and confusing for him, and our greatest wish is to give Rebel the soft landing he so deeply deserves. He’s a gentle soul who thrives on reassurance, affection, and calm companionship. .

If you can open your heart and home — even temporarily — you could change the rest of Rebel’s life. He’s not asking for much: a safe place, a loving hand, and the chance to spend his golden years knowing he is cherished.
