READY TEDDY's Story

Meet Teddy!
Teddy is a sweet, charming boy who would thrive as an only dog. He does get along with some canine friends, but he can be selective and prefers companions who are a bit more on the submissive side—after all, Teddy likes being the alpha!
Teddy arrived at ARF from a shelter, and it appeared he may have suffered an old injury, possibly from being hit by a car earlier in life. After a full veterinary evaluation, it was determined that Teddy would benefit from an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) surgery. He has since received excellent medical care, and while he may still walk with a slight limp, he gets around well and is feeling much better. We’re happy to discuss his procedure with you, and additional details—including surgery costs and copies of his X-rays—will be provided at the time of adoption.
We estimate Teddy to be about 6 years old. He’s a terrier mix—though what he’s mixed with is anyone’s guess! He’d be a fun candidate for a DNA test if you enjoy a good mystery and a good laugh.

Teddy is the perfect size for leisurely walks—big enough to avoid tripping over, but still compact and adorable
.
His adoption fee is $225, which helps cover part of the cost of his neuter and vaccinations. This fee doesn’t come close to covering the full cost of his surgery, but we’re dedicated to giving him the best care possible.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a huge heart and a charming personality, Teddy may be the perfect addition to your home.
