Raymond's Story

Meet Raymond

Raymond is the kind of dog who is easy to overlook in a kennel, but once you get him outside, his personality speaks for itself. He's a big, strong, athletic boy with a huge personality and an incredible desire to learn. Raymond is smart, driven, and eager to please. He already knows sit, down, and stay, is potty trained, and walks well on leash. He genuinely enjoys training and would thrive with someone who wants a dog they can continue teaching and working with.

He's also an incredibly social dog. Raymond loves playing with other dogs, especially dogs who can match his playful energy, but he can also be respectful and appropriate around dogs who prefer a calmer interaction. He does seem to prefer females and can be selective with dominate males. He has done very well with cats so far, and his behavior around them will continue to be evaluated as he gets more opportunities outside of the shelter.

Raymond was saved from euthanasia at a rural pound and has now been waiting at Have A Heart Pet Shelter for months. His energy and big personality can be a lot to take in through kennel bars, but once he's out, you get to see what makes him so special. He is playful, affectionate, athletic, intelligent, and incredibly trainable. Raymond would make a wonderful companion for an active adopter who wants a dog to be part of their adventures, training, and everyday life.

If you're looking for a smart, active, social dog who wants to be involved in everything you do, Raymond might be your guy.

Raymond is currently in foster care and is not physically located at our facility. If you are interested in setting up a time to meet Raymond, please reach out to haveaheartpetshelter@gmail.com or call 870-449-7387.
