Ray's Story
Meet Ray!
Ray of sunshine, Ray of energy, Ray of “hey, pay attention to me!

Ray is a 2.5-year-old, 56-pound German Shepherd/Husky mix who thrives with movement, space, and an active lifestyle. He is a wonderful match for an active family who enjoys hiking, long walks, outdoor time, and staying busy together. Ray loves being part of the action — whether that’s daily walks, neighborhood adventures, or just going wherever his people go.

On leash, Ray is still polishing basic manners, but he is smart, food motivated, and responds well to patient, positive guidance. He enjoys staying connected to his people and learning new things.

Ray is social with other dogs and loves playtime with toys, whether soft or hard. He has a little personality spice and really enjoys your attention — if he feels ignored, he may voice his opinion because he likes being part of everything you do.

Ray’s early life wasn’t easy. He and his sister spent time confined in small garage pens, but Ray didn’t let that hard start turn him hard. Instead, he stayed bright, energetic, and ready for something better.

If you want a loyal, active companion who wants to share your world and be your everyday adventure buddy, Ray is ready to be your Ray of sunshine. 🐾

Ray is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC.
