Raven (in a FOSTER home)'s Story
Her family dumped her at animal control because she was just too much care and wouldn't stay in the yard. She was only 1 year old and hearing impaired. <br/>Raven did not do well at animal control, and was having a very hard time at the shelter. Friends rescue was asked to pull her.<br/>We placed her in a foster home with experience in training as she needed a lot of time to decompress and get some help figuring out how to navigate this human world.<br/>She was in the foster home quite a while decompressing and learning to communicate with us humans to help provide some training and clarity.<br/>You may be surprised to learn that deaf dogs respond when their handlers talk to them. They can’t hear, but they observe and respond to countenance and body posture as much and possibly more than hearing dogs.
