Raven's Story
Meet Raven 🖤

Raven is ready for her forever home!

Raven is a gorgeous, approximately 2 year-old, 40lb lab mix, who has spent her life tied up and with minimal human contact. She was pulled into a rural upstate shelter pregnant. JHRA raced to get her and she and her 8 babies came to us the day after their birth.

Raven was an awesome momma and has since weaned her babies(they are not available for adoption yet). Because she had not been properly socialized she had a very hard time trusting humans but now falls in love with everyone. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, and is so happy when she realizes a human wants to pet her. Despite her very hard start, she has a sweet soul and is loving learning how to be a pet. She loves soft beds and couches, snuggling and being pet by her humans, and has enjoyed being with her foster dog siblings (two lab males, one older, one younger but both gentle and sweet). With her rough start she’ll need a family to help her continue to build her confidence, to slowly introduce her to new people, dogs, places, and things.

Raven is HW+. Treatment will be paid for by our rescue. She also has an old break in her left, front elbow. It is too old for surgical intervention but it doesn’t seem to cause her pain and has started to fuse itself. She will always have a limp but it doesn’t stop her from getting around.
Please, if you think you can help this sweet, deserving girl, please reach out to us asap"

MORE INFO:
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, or scheduled to be if they arrived in our care too young. Each dog has been seen by our veterinarian and treated for likely the following (all various): Age appropriate vaccines, overall health exam and other alignments as they come up. All dogs are dewormed, given core vaccines (Bordetella, DHPP (3 of them if a puppy) and Rabies as well as all are microchipped and on a monthly preventative for flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

All of our animals are placed into foster homes so they thrive and the transition is easier.

If interested in learning more or meeting this pup, please fill out our adoption application.
The application can be found here:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/JHRA/Dog

Journey Home Rescue Alliance | Apply for Adoption
