Raven was reported to be 12 years by original owner’s family but Vet thinks she is more in the 8-10 year range. Raven adores her foster mom and follows her everywhere. She likes to cuddle and play. Raven did not like men when she arrived at her foster home. She was not fond of male dogs and was female dog selective. After 6 months in foster care, she has started to accept men and other dogs. She would not be good with Alpha dogs but if she was with a submissive dog she would eventually accept him/her. Raven knows the command “sit” and is working on “stay” – that’s a hard one because she always wants to be by her foster mom’s side. Raven prefers a calm, quiet environment and is easily over stimulated. She responds well to a beeping collar. Raven loves chewing on bones and will occasionally play with toys. She loves blueberries, carrots, lettuce and any treats! Raven in crated when foster mom is gone because of the original issues with other dogs in the home. Foster family has started to let her stay out of her crate when they are gone for short periods of time. She would do well left loose if she is an only pet.

She was reported to have bitten her previous owner’s adult daughter twice when taking something away from her. She has not had any aggression towards her foster mom but she was very male selective and has snapped and growled at foster dad – still does when she doesn’t get her way. She came to Sophia’s Grace with two full chains of mammary tumors which were successfully removed and after biopsy results, Vet feels that Raven can have a nice long life with little chance of recurrence.

Raven is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Raven is ready to bring joy to her new forever home. Raven is being fostered in Philadelphia, Pa and is available for an adoption fee of $300.00.
