Raven's Story
Meet Raven 🐾 – A Sweet, Gentle Soul Looking for Her Safe Haven

Raven is an 8-year-old beauty with the softest heart and a calm, peaceful presence. She’s still settling into foster care and slowly learning that the world — and people — can be kind. Coming from an outdoor environment with limited human interaction, Raven is adjusting to life indoors and discovering that inside can be safe, cozy, and full of love. Each day she grows a little more curious and brave, and it’s truly special to watch.

Raven is doing well with her foster’s three huskies and has shown no signs of dog aggression. She would do fine as an only dog or with other calm, respectful dogs who will give her space and help build her confidence. Pushy or overly energetic pups wouldn’t be her style, but a gentle canine companion could be a wonderful bonus.

This sweet girl is very shy and timid at first, especially with touch, but she has not shown a mean bone in her body. Any children in the home would need to be older and understanding, respecting her boundaries and letting her warm up at her own pace. With time, patience, and gentle reassurance, she has so much potential to blossom.

Raven has a calm demeanor and a quiet charm. She enjoys ear scratches once she feels safe, and her heart can definitely be won with chicken and cheese bones! She’s currently most comfortable in her safe space and is taking small, steady steps toward exploring more of her environment.

She will require a secure setup (tie-out or fenced yard recommended) and adopters who can read dog body language and understand when she needs reassurance. Raven doesn’t need a husky expert — just someone with a big heart, patience, and the commitment to let her grow at her own pace.

Raven’s ideal home would be a quiet, loving environment — perhaps with an older individual or couple — who has time to spend with her, believes in second chances, and won’t give up on her. She deserves a family who will show her what safety, love, and forever truly mean.

If you’re looking for a gentle companion and are willing to give Raven the time she needs, she may just be the most rewarding soul you ever welcome into your home.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interested in adopting?
Please complete and submit an adoption application.
