Rascal 's Story

Rascal is such a sweet older fellow. He is currently 8 years old and does amazing in the car. He does wonderful being crated and has great house-training. He knows how to sit and give paw. He loves to eat and loves to play tug of war. He is content relaxing on the couch with you or playing with toys and other dogs. He has a very sweet nature and loves to snuggle and be close to people.

Mayberry 4 Paws's Adoption Policy

Our adoption process starts with a 3 page application. We carefully check all vet history with phone calls and emails. If they pass that area, we check three references that have to be a mix of personal and professional as well as a check of their previous pet owner history. Lastly, if they are approved in all of these areas, there is a home inspection and interview completed. After adoption, there will be checks on the animal and its well-being, as well as calls in to the vet to ensure that they animal's health is being maintained and that the animal remains up to date on preventatives. If at any time an adoption does not work out, the dog has to return to our rescue.
