Rascal's Story

Meet Rascal – A Special Boy with a Big Heart

Hi, I'm Rascal, and I live up to my name in the best ways! I'm an 8-year-old American Eskimo and Siberian Husky mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I'm playful, smart, and full of life, but I need someone who understands that I've had a tough past and will need someone to be patient with me as I continue to learn.

I spent my early years in a puppy mill, where I didn't get much human interaction, love, or guidance. Because of that, I can be wary of new people and sometimes give mixed signals—I might run up for attention while growling simultaneously! But once I decide you're my friend, I'll greet you with wiggles of joy and flops for belly rubs.

I love food, treats, and chew toys (especially hard plastic bones), and I get very excited at mealtime! I'm still learning manners, like not jumping up or sneaking food off the counter, but I'm making great progress. I also have a bit of a mischievous side—I can't resist shredding paper if I find it, but I can be easily redirected to a toy instead.

Being outside is one of my favorite things, and I can spend hours playing with my fur siblings. Sometimes, I get a little too playful and pushy, but I listen to corrections from both dogs and humans. I also get along well with cats!

I need a home without children since I can be unpredictable with new people. I have come such a long way, and I'm looking for a patient, understanding home with a calm approach where I can continue to grow and feel safe. I will be the most loving and loyal companion, and my foster mom is happy to share her knowledge to help me continue thriving in a forever home.
Could you give me that chance? I promise I'm worth it!

If you are interested in adopting, please complete and submit an adoption application.
