Raptor's Story

Raptor is one happy boy after getting to enjoy some time playing outside! That big smile says it all—this boy loves having fun and being around his people and foster siblings.
Raptor is an almost 1-year-old pup who is really coming into his own. He tries hard to please and is learning more every day. He’s working on his puppy manners, including getting better about jumping when he’s excited, and he has learned to sit and wait for permission before heading outside.
And toys? Raptor is OBSESSED! He’ll often grab a toy on his way outside and then parade it around, hoping one of his foster siblings will take the bait and start a game of chase. He loves running, rolling around, and stalking his foster siblings until they finally give in and play with him. He gets along famously with other dogs and would love having a doggy sibling or two in his forever home.
Raptor can still be hesitant around new people and kids, so his forever family will need to be patient and help him build confidence at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, his goofy, playful personality really shines through.
Just look at that happy face. Raptor is ready for someone to give him the patience, love, and forever home he deserves!

Charley's K-9 Rescue's Adoption Policy
Once we receive an application it is forwarded to our applications manager for screening. She interviews the applicant about their home, work-life, personal life, expected dog life, and previous pet history. We then check references; personal, professional, and vet. We host a meet and greet with the adopters and their furry friends(if applicable) after a virtual home visit. The next step would be they move into foster with their potential family (including a 2-week shutdown), after the 2-week shutdown our dog trainer does an in-home consultation. After the consultation, the adoption contract is then sent to the family to sign.
