Ranger's Story

Ranger is approximately 3 yrs old. He is leery of strangers but after a few visits you will win his heart. He has had someone care for him before because he is neutered and knows basic commands. Ranger knows how to sit, stay and give his paw. He is a very good boy. Ranger was an owner surrender due to homelessness.
When he arrived summer of 2023, he was very fearful and wouldn't let anyone take him out. It took one of our special volunteers, Lori, several months to earn his trust after giving him yummy treats and squeaky toys. She went slow with him and now they are best buds. He just needs time away from the shelter to decompress and he will be sure to thrive. He is cute, loves play time, keeps a clean kennel, loves walks and would make the best hiking companion.
He would do best in a home with an experienced owner and low traffic.

If interested in meeting Ranger, please fill out an application at healthyheartsproject.org/foster to adopt.

Follow and Message us on our Facebook pages:

The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project ?
and
Meet the Dogs and Cats at Healthy Hearts ?
