Rambo's Story

~ WAITING FOR HIS HAPPILY EVER AFTER ~

He was adopted as a puppy by a family who wanted him to be a companion for their pug, but shortly after the family reached out to Nayeli, explaining that the owner was visually impaired and their limited resources made it impossible to care for both dogs, especially since Rambo was young, full of energy, and needed more than they could provide. When she went to pick him up, he was skinny, dirty, and clearly not getting the care he deserved. Thankfully, despite his condition, no serious infections were found—he was simply undernourished and had internal parasites, which were treated right away along with giving him supplements to regain his strength. The full medical protocol was started, and Rambo thrived in care.

Rambo is about 1.5 years old, weighs around 17 kilos, and is a Labrador mix.

Rambo gets along beautifully with people of all ages, whether it is men, women, teenagers, or even young children, Rambo’s friendly nature shines through. Although he hasn’t been tested with cats yet, that can be arranged if needed. At the shelter, Rambo has only been exposed to the usual noises and the company of other dogs. When he sees dogs outside, he might bark once or twice but does not show aggression or try to pick fights. He is a good boy who shares his food, toys, and sleeping spots with his dog friends, but he sometimes chews on things that catch his attention, so a good stash of chew toys would be ideal to keep him happy. When meeting new people, Rambo gets a little overexcited and wants to play right away, sometimes a bit roughly with playful, gentle nibbles, which is his way of showing he wants to engage. He is full of life, always moving, always curious, and not a fan of being picked up or feeling restricted. He prefers space to move freely and a respectful approach that lets him feel safe and confident. He would do best with an active family who enjoys outdoor activities, adventures, and can keep up with his energetic spirit and give him the loving, forever home he has been waiting for.
Rambo’s adoption fee is $550, which includes his flight, neuter, vaccinations, and full vetting.
