Rambo's Story

Rambo.<br/>8 years old. 65 pounds. Fresh out of the shelter and already acting like he owns the place.<br/><br/>At the shelter, volunteers were obsessed with him. This man would walk up to people he’d never met, make direct eye contact, and then just… collapse. Belly up. Like, “Alright y’all, clock in.”<br/><br/>He is aggressively affectionate. Butt scratches? Mandatory. Belly rubs? Non-negotiable. Personal space? He’s never heard of her.<br/><br/>In playgroup, he was social and appropriately matched his energy — soft with the gentle crowd, happy to party with the goofballs. He reads the room. He participates. He’s not messy.<br/><br/>And as you can see from the photos — he smiles. Like, fully commits to the bit. Big open-mouth, unbothered, slightly chaotic joy. Zero self-consciousness. Just a happy dude who wants to hang out.<br/><br/>Rambo just landed with Real Good Rescue, so we’re continuing to assess him outside of the shelter and will share more as he settles in.<br/><br/>But so far?<br/>He’s people-forward. Dog-social.
