Rain's Story

Rain is a certified snort machine, and she’s not afraid to flaunt it! At 2.5 years old, this chunky little momma came to us with three of her puppies, and now it’s her turn to soak up all the love. With her wiggly butt, piggy snorts, and a face so squishable it should come with a warning label, Rain is the kind of dog that turns every stranger into a fan.

She’s built low and solid — all 78 pounds of her is packed with personality, charm, and a whole lot of snuffling. Rain loves to explore the world one sniff at a time, snorting happily as she waddles along on walks. She’s full of affection, always ready for pets, and happy to soak up attention like the diva she is.

Rain is looking for a home where she can finally be someone’s baby — no more raising pups, just long naps, belly rubs, and plenty of snacks. She may be a little extra in the size department, but that’s all part of her big-hearted, big-bodied appeal.
Needs an experienced home.

*Reminder* We are currently facilitating adoptions through appointment only. If you arrive at the shelter without an appointment to meet a dog, we may not be able to assist you.

Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about this dog, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability.
