Meet Raider! <br/><br/>Raider is an approximately 4-year-old Belgian Shepherd weighing 72 pounds, and he's everything people love about the breed - smart, energetic, loyal, and always ready for action.<br/><br/>His journey to us began when a Good Samaritan found him as a stray and took him home to keep him safe. Unfortunately, Riader's enthusiasm for chasing cats made it clear he wasn't the right fit for their household, so he was brought to ACCT Philly and quickly transferred to our rescue.<br/><br/>Raider is a typical Malinois in many ways - a handsome, athletic dog with a big personality and plenty of energy to spare. He is social, friendly, and eager to engage with people. He follows cues well and is clearly a smart dog who wants to learn. Like many dogs of his breed, he needs guidance, structure, and an outlet for both his physical and mental energy. Our volunteers have already begun working with him on his manners, and he's making great progress.<br/><br/>This fun-loving boy can get excited and may jump up when greeting people, so he would do best in a home with older children or adults who can continue his training. Raider is looking for a cat-free home.<br/><br/>Raider isn't the kind of dog who wants to spend his days lounging on the couch. He's looking for a breed-experienced home that understands the needs of a Belgian Shepherd and is ready to help him become the best version of himself.
