Rags's Story

Rags is an adorable three-month-old puppy currently in foster care in Marathon, Texas, and he’s exactly what you picture when you think of a happy, carefree pup.

This happy-go-lucky boy looks like a little mix of everything—maybe something handsome and chill like a German Shepherd, something loyal and Velcro-y like a Heeler, something with cute bug eyes like a Chihuahua, and possibly a tiny bit of bird because he chirps when he gets excited! Whatever his recipe, it adds up to one playful, friendly, and totally delightful little guy.

Rags loves other dogs and greets every person he meets like a new best friend. He’s curious about the world, eager to play, and always ready to turn an ordinary moment into a game. One of his favorite things is prancing proudly around with a giant stuffed toy in his mouth like he owns the place. Like all good puppies, Rags is learning the skills he needs to grow into a great family companion. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night, is working on housetraining, rides nicely in the car, and is beginning to learn leash walking. With continued patience, consistency, and lots of love, he’s sure to grow into a confident and well-mannered adult dog.

Rags will likely grow into a medium-sized dog who will enjoy playtime, daily exercise, and being part of family life. He would do well in a home ready for all the fun (and responsibility!) that comes with raising a puppy. Any family looking for a cheerful, affectionate, and entertaining companion would be lucky to watch this sweet boy grow from Rags to riches.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/adopt
