Raffie's Story
Hi Friends - My name is Raffie, pronounced like "ra-fee". I am a roughly 1 year old, neutered male, medium/large mixed breed dude, weighing in at a solid 50ish lbs! I am a total bowling ball - I am a rough and tumble kind of player that has lots of energy to burn off.

My name means "one that will prosper" and that couldn't be more true - as since I've been at the shelter - the team has identified some opportunities that I have for further training. With the training I've had already, I have done exactly as my name suggests - I have prospered. I pick up on training so quickly - I am a very smart bowling ball! I still have some room for improvement, and I'm hoping you can help make me the goodest boy out there.

In working with the trainer, I've learned and mastered the "leave it" and "take it" skills, and how to redirect my attention back to the human in charge. I'm working on learning to let humans take me for a walk, instead of the opposite.

My ideal home will have someone strong, confident, patient, and willing to uphold firm boundaries with me. I would do best in a home without children or cats. Like I said before - I'm a rough and tumble player - so I would hate to knock anyone over. I might do well living with another dog if we mesh well together - just make sure if you come to meet me, you bring any potential friends with you! If you can give me this type of home, you really will have a smart, loyal, and affectionate companion.

The shelter is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm and I would love it if you stopped by to meet me! If you have any questions, please reach out to my friends at AVASCares2@gmail.com or by phone at 989-348-4117. Looking forward to meeting you soon!
