Radar's Story
Radar is currently living and training with his handlers at Beaumont Correctional Center.

Through a partnership with the Virginia Department of Corrections, Pixie's Pen Pals (a program of FETCH a Cure) places homeless dogs in the care of incarcerated people for dedicated, individualized training and socialization guided by canine behavior specialists.

The bio below has been provided by Radar's handlers at Beaumont Correctional Center:

My name is Radar. I love people, children, and other canines. I am a short squat terrier mix that was rescued from a rural animal control. Ask anyone that knows me and they will tell you how cute and smart I am. I love to go outside and have playtime in the yard and go for walks. I am partial to the cool embrace of air conditioning. I have known the bitter taste of abandonment and loneliness, but I am a survivor, and my heart still beats with hope that my forever home is our there. I am a gentle soul, savoring the attention of my handlers. I loke to sit at your feet and be pet, and love the comfort of my crate, and I LOVE to give kisses.
