Radar's Story

?059959 Radar; neutered male Border Collie mix; est. 4 years; 56.4 lbs
Contact: Calaveras County Animal Services
(209)754-6509
Website: https://animal.calaverasgov.us/
Email: animal@calaverascounty.gov

Let us introduce our handsome boy, Radar,. There is something that shouts "classic doggo" about his style; just a great looking, super happy, friendly guy.

We love his beautiful coloring. He sports a light colored undercoat with black tips, white socks and chest, and warm amber eyes.

Radar is a joyful, active dog who is itching to play with other dog buddies; we haven't placed him in a play date yet, but he is very good with other dogs when out walking—both male and female.

Because this energetic boy has the playfulness of a young pup, he will need lots of exercise in order to thrive. He'd be a fabulous buddy for an active owner or family. Another dog at home for him to romp with would be excellent.

Radar is so excited to see and sniff all the things that he does pull on leash. He is quickly learning that his handlers don't enjoy being yoinked around, but he would benefit from some focused training in that regard. On the other hand, he knows sit, down, and takes treats with a soft mouth. He'll also flip over on his back with a huge, goofy, tongue-lolling grin on his face, inviting belly rubs. We are unable to resist such charming invitations and forgive him instantly for pulling whenever he unleashes this tactic upon us!

Radar has been keeping his kennel clean, so although we cannot make guarantees he may be potty trained.

Radar is neutered and can go home with you right away.

We do not have info on his attitude toward cats at this time.

A meet-and-greet is required if you have other dogs at home.
