Radar's Story
Meet Radar

Radar is a fluffy Australian Shepherd mix with the face of a teddy bear and the energy to match his big personality. He’s goofy, smart, playful, and always ready for fun. Toss a toy or step outside and his whole body lights up.

This boy is SMART. He already knows:
• Sit
• Shake
• High five
• Lay down
• Roll over

Chicken and cheese are his absolute favorites.

Radar is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped — ready for his forever home.

Now for the honest part:

Radar does snap during initial dog introductions. It happens when he feels unsure or overstimulated. He struggles with polite greetings and can react quickly if another dog comes on too strong or if things move too fast.

This is not constant aggression — it is a reaction during first meetings. With slow, structured, low-stress introductions and proper handling, he settles and does much better once he understands the other dog. Rushed introductions are what trigger the snapping.

With cats, he has done well indoors. Outside, his herding/play drive kicks in and he may chase because he thinks it’s a game.

Radar would do best in a home that understands active breeds and is willing to provide structure, guidance, and continued training. He is incredibly intelligent and very capable — he just needs leadership and patience.

In the right home, Radar is a loyal, entertaining, affectionate companion who will keep you laughing and impress you with how quickly he learns.

He’s not perfect — but he is worth it.

Come meet him.

If you’d like, I can also write a slightly stronger “experienced home preferred” version if you want to really filter for the right adopter.
