Rachel's Story
Rachel
4-Year-Old | Spayed Female Rat Terrier
Current on Bordetella, DHPPV, Rabies, Deworming, and Microchip
Adoption Fee: $200

Meet Rachel — the sweetest little lady with a big heart and a survivor's spirit! After recovering from both a broken hip and leg, she's ready to start her next chapter in a forever home.

Rachel adores people most of all and would be happiest as a full-time lap dog. She's good with other dogs, and though cats make her a little nervous, she mostly just ignores them. She's met kids and done well, but would prefer a home without young children who might try to carry her around.

Rachel's playful side comes out with stuffed toys, Benebones, and a gentle game of tug-of-war. She's crate-trained, loves mealtime, and will happily go into her crate for a treat. She's potty-trained but appreciates supervision and regular outdoor breaks — especially if it's raining or snowing (a cozy sweater helps!).

She's got a few quirks that make her extra charming — alert barking when visitors arrive, a love for burrowing under blankets, and a fondness for sleeping in late. Rachel also knows how to use a dog ramp or stairs to keep her joints happy.

After all she's overcome, this resilient little terrier deserves the comfort of a home where she can be loved, spoiled, and cherished — whether as the center of attention or part of a small pack.

Ready to meet Rachel?
