He came to us from a California shelter where he was sadly out of time, and we’re so glad he got his second chance. Now that he’s settling into a routine, Quincy is showing just how special he is.<br/><br/>The Good Stuff (and there’s a lot!)<br/><br/>• Very dog friendly! Quincy loves other dogs and especially enjoys a rowdy playmate. He’s enthusiastic but respectful and takes corrections well from older, grumpier dogs.<br/><br/>• Food drive: OFF THE CHARTS. Truly a 10/10. Quincy will happily work for snacks and learns FAST. In just a week he’s mastered sit (with eye contact!), down, spin/twist, and pedestal/Klimb. If you’ve ever dreamed of an eager trainee—this is your guy.<br/><br/>• Crate & kennel trained. Quiet, clean, and comfortable.<br/><br/>• Super affectionate. Quincy is a cuddler and loves being close to his people.<br/><br/>• Great car rider. Ready for adventures near and far!<br/><br/>• Toy drive is moderate. He naturally fetches to hand and likes balls and squeaky toys (hasn’t discovered tug or disc yet).<br/><br/>Things He’s Still Working On<br/><br/>• Confidence building. When Quincy first arrived, he showed lots of appeasement behaviors (jumping, licking hands, groveling). This has already improved tremendously, and he continues to gain confidence every day. We suspect his past wasn’t always kind.<br/><br/>The Perfect Home<br/><br/>With patient, positive training, Quincy will shine as a family pet, adventure buddy, or even a future sport prospect. He’s smart, eager, affectionate, and trying so hard to be the best boy.<br/><br/>He is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a sweet, trainable Border Collie who’s ready to blossom with the right person—Quincy might just be your perfect match.<br/><br/>Quincy is being fostered in the St. Louis, MO area.
