Quill's Story

Quill is a lot of fun but you need to be on your toes to keep up with him. He loves playing KONG/fetch and being with you DOING. It doesn't really matter what you are doing as long as you are active and doing something. He is aware of his surroundings and curious on walks. The only time he goes crazy is if there is a cat or squirrel or something else small and moving. He will need an experienced handler because he is very strong. He walks well on leash and he is quick to do what you want as soon as he understands what you are asking. He has little interest in other dogs and has limited social skills in meeting other dogs. He absolutely can not be around cats - they are way too tempting for him (and not in a good way). Quill is smart, strong and physical. He can be quiet but he would much prefer an active life. He has had limited training but catches on quick.

If you are interested in meeting Quill, please complete the adoption application at www.nwac-oregon.org and we will be in touch! The adoption fee is $300 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, de-worming, current flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam. Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.

Please head to our website to fill out an application prior to sending an inquiry or asking to set up a meeting. (See application at https://www.nwac-oregon.org/dog-application). Once your adoption application is approved, we will contact you to put you in touch with the foster family and volunteer veterinarian to ask any questions and then an in person meeting.
