Quill Hound Mix Bixby, OK

Quill is the kindest softest soul you’ll come across. He’s just looking for his place in this world that was once cruel to him. Despite being shown a bad hand in life, he starts every day with a tail wag and his best foot forward. He’s a mostly quiet and laid back guy who enjoys a good nap and a belly rub, but he also enjoys lazy playing with friends and following you around out in the yard. While he’s still learning the sweet life of being dog with a home and no longer a dog fending for himself on the streets, he’s come to it seamlessly! He’s fully potty trained, sleeps on his bed beside the bed every night and doesn’t move an inch till you get up in the morning, he’s trustworthy roaming the house and he loves ALL walks of life! He’s been great with a mix of dogs, cats, livestock and kids. He has a great recall, understands stay and “leave-it”, but is still learning a sit and down due to a physical difficulty with an injury he sustained as a stray and healed on his own, but there is no doubt as he learns to trust that people don’t want to hurt him he will pick it up! He loves car rides, a sucker for a drive-thru! He is learning to walk on a leash better every day as his confidence grows! He doesn’t care much for the rain or loud noises, and is a little nervous with new things and places, but a lot of love and positive affirmations seems to help him grow his confidence in these things. There’s truly no much to pick Quill on! He’s just the sweetest boy who wants to love so big and cannot wait to find his people who love him just as much!
