Meet ¡Queso! 48 pounds, 1 and a half years old, Neutered Male Labrador/Border Collie mix.
Available for Adoption!
This spunky and spirited little guy is searching for his forever home! ¡Queso! was adopted as a puppy and raised by his family who then abandoned him when he became an inconvenience after they had a baby!
¡Queso! is a little softy who warms up to you quickly to new people and gives lots of affection and kisses, he bonds deeply and quickly to his people. He has gained a lot of confidence in his foster home and he has done well with his foster's older children, we think ¡Queso! do best in a home without young children where they can focus on providing him him with plenty of exercise. ¡Queso! would make an excellent running partner or agility dog! ¡Queso! is super smart and would benefit from some basic obedience training. He will do great with an active family, and/or having another young/active/playful dog, who is not dominant, in the home to be his best friend.
¡Queso! absolutely LOVES running and playing in the yard with his foster's dogs, but every once in a while he misreads their social cues and will get into small, brief quarrels with them. He has never hurt anyone, and his foster's dogs are not interested in spats, so it's mostly just noise. He has to be redirected and then he will continue playing with them. ¡Queso! will need a little patience and guidance in the beginning to help him integrate since he can sometimes feel a little insecure with new dogs at first. He does best with submissive and/or neutral dogs who love to run/play with him.
¡Queso! is housebroken, has good in-home manners, and does well when crated.
$145 Adoption Fee.
A $10.00 non-refundable application fee is required to submit your adoption application and will be deducted from your adoption fee if you adopt.
