Queso's Story

CANTINA CREW ALERT!

We just welcomed FOUR new pups to the Streetdog pack, and they’re already stirring up hearts. Meet the Cantina Crew—a little spicy, a little sweet, and 100% irresistible.

Queso – A 7-year-old Jack Russell/chi mix who came in melted with nerves but quickly turned gooey with affection. Now he’s a full-on cuddle puddle with a side of silly. Queso is heartworm negative.

Paloma – This 3-year-old chihuahua was found on the roadside after being hit by a car. She’s the gentlest cuddlebug you’ll ever meet. Paloma is heartworm negative, but her pelvis x-ray shows that she will need surgery and then she’ll be on the mend!

Margarita – A 5-year-old chihuahua with a shy soul but is slowly coming out of her shell thanks to her pup pals. She is heartworm positive and will begin treatment soon. She’s ready to be someone’s salt-rimmed sunshine!

Sangria – 9-year-old chihuahua royalty with a sweet-and-sassy streak. She’s obsessed with fetch, powered by snacks, and rocking an old leg injury that doesn’t slow her down a bit. She is also heartworm negative!

We were contacted by a shelter in Clay County asking for help after learning Margarita, Queso, and Sangria lost their home when their elderly owner passed. Paloma came in after being found hit by a car, but she’s safe now and surrounded by love.

All four are dog and cat friendly, and will be heading to their foster homes this week. Let’s give the Cantina Crew a warm Memphis welcome and follow along as they shake up the rescue world, one paw at a time.

Check out #sdfQueso on Facebook and Instagram or streetdogfoundation.com/pup-profiles/queso for updates and pictures!

**Behaviors not listed have yet to be tested.
