QUEENIE's Story

QUEENIE was brought to the shelter as a stray, so nothing is known about her background.

QUEENIE is about 3 - 4 years old, she weighs 46 lbs, she is spayed, fully vaccinated, heart worm negative and is listed as a Pit Bull Terrier mix. QUEENIE is not highly treat-motivated, but she does respond well to praise. QUEENIE walks nicely on a leash, but will sometimes pull when she sees another dog. She loves the dog park and is a playful girl QUEENIE is very sweet and friendly, although she does need a little extra time warming up to some men. QUEENIE knows "sit" and is willing to learn a lot more too!

It is difficult to tell in the shelter whether or not a dog is housebroken, so it is best to assume they are not and be pleasantly surprised if they are!

QUEENIE has been fine around the other shelter dogs, but nothing is known about how she is with kids or cats since there are neither there. Please bring your kids, dog(s), and even your cat(s), if possible, to the shelter for a meet and greet with the help of the warden or deputies just to be sure everyone gets along before taking QUEENIE home!
