Queenie's Story

Queenie is a 9 year old female Pit mix who already knows what it means to belong to a family. Although Queenie had been adopted a few years ago and learned the comforts of a home, she seems to have been abandoned. Thus, she has found herself waiting once more, quietly hoping that someone will choose her again. Queenie is the kind of girl who reminds you just how special senior dogs are. Well-mannered and gentle, she appears housebroken (no accidents during her foster weekend), sleeps quietly in her crate overnight, and rides calmly in the car. She gets along with cats and dogs, seems wonderful with kids, and has such polite spatial awareness - no jumping, just soft sweetness. Open the fridge and Queenie will come running with the sweetest hopeful excitement. Pick up the leash and her whole face lights up, ready for a happy walk by your side. More than anything, this loving senior simply dreams of a soft bed to call her own... a peaceful place to drift into sleep and fill a home with the cutest little baby snores. Queenie doesn’t need much - just kindness, comfort, and someone willing to love her through her golden years. Could you be the one to give her the forever she thought she already had? Come meet sweet Queenie soon, and find out!
The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.
Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA.
