Queen 's Story

Queen is a 1 year old pitty mix and is about 50lbs. She is everything outgoing, playful, sweet and loving. Queen loves playing in the hose and pool. She also loves treats and toys! She would be your perfect bring to the lake gal or walk on a beach babe. More info on behavior. Reactive in her kennel. Which is not uncommon in the shelter environment. She is protecting her space and her toys. It’s all she has. BUT once you get her out she does better than expected with dogs. She needs a male doggy sibling in her home or a low key female. She needs a dog that’s not dominant and will not boss her around AND most of all she needs a person who will give her a slow introduction while she adjusts outside of the shelter. Queen loves the water and I mean she loves it!! Play time with our new shelter pool is her absolute favorite! A fenced in yard is highly recommend as she is higher energy. Would not recommend dog parks.

Queen is spayed, Heart-worm positive, and vaccinated. Adopter would be required to show proof of treatment and she would be a foster-to-adopt until proof of treatment is provided.

Queen is located at the Lancaster County Animal Shelter. Applications can be submitted on the shelter website. https://www.lancastersheltersc.com/adoption-process

For more information please call the shelter directly or email - animal@lancastersc.net

To view Queens video click here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CfzHTxtAeE5/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
