Q-Tip's Story

Q-Tip arrived at Horse Creek Wildlife from the animal shelter on July 19, 2023.

He is very friendly, but, a little shy when he first meets someone new. He desperately wants to please you and receive all the love and affection you will give him. Q-Tip loves the companionship of other dogs, and enjoys romping and playing in our exercise areas with them.

He is a cute Spitz mix. He is full-grown and weighs 26 pounds.

Q-Tip has had some rough breaks in his life. Wouldn’t you want to make his life complete by being his devoted family forever?

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. You can find our application at www.horsecreekwildlife.org/applic.html. Once completed, you can forward it to adoptions@horsecreekwildlife.org or fax it to 731-926-3000. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.

Horse Creek Wildlife Sanctuary's Adoption Policy
Anyone interested in adopting an animal should complete an Adoption Application. https://horsecreekwildlife.org/adoption-application/ We strive to place our dogs into loving and caring homes. We adopt our dogs into homes where they are going to be part of the family, and living indoors with the family! All applications are thoroughly screened and we reserve the right to contact references. The adoption fee is $100.00. This represents to us a commitment on the part of the new parents more than any repayment of our costs. This fee is a fraction of the amount spent to ensure each animal is healthy and well adjusted. All animals are spayed or neutered, current on all their vaccinations and are heartworm free and on prevention. The adoptive parents will receive all records on the animal they are adopting. All the animals are, to the best of our knowledge and ability, in good health unless otherwise indicated.
