Purity's Story

Meet Purity!

Purity is a beautiful 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who is fully grown at about 50 pounds and has a BIG personality-and plenty of energy-to match!

Purity was saved from euthanasia at the Hesperia Animal Shelter in California, and we are so grateful this fun-loving girl got the second chance she deserved. Now she's ready to trade shelter life for a forever home filled with adventures, activity, learning, and lots of love.

Purity is outgoing, boisterous, playful, confident, and incredibly social. She's friendly with other dogs and would do well with kids ages 6 and older who can appreciate her enthusiastic approach to life. She loves being involved in whatever is happening and brings plenty of energy and entertainment wherever she goes.

And when we say Purity is active, we mean VERY active! This girl is looking for a family that genuinely wants an energetic dog and will enjoy keeping her physically and mentally engaged. Long walks, hikes, adventures, training sessions, games, and enrichment activities are much more her speed than a quiet, sedentary lifestyle.

Purity is also extremely intelligent, and she needs a home that will embrace that part of who she is. She'll do best with a family prepared to provide structure, clear expectations, consistency, and ongoing training. She's the kind of dog who wants to use her brain, learn new things, and have a job to do-even if that job is simply mastering new skills and joining her family on their adventures.

Her intelligence also comes with a creative streak! Purity has been known to jump a fence and occasionally figure out how to open locks, so secure fencing and a family willing to stay one step ahead of this clever girl will be important. She'll likely thrive with puzzles, training exercises, enrichment activities, and anything else that challenges that busy brain.

Purity hasn't been tested with cats yet, but if your home includes feline siblings, we can cat test her to help determine whether she may be a good fit.

Purity isn't looking for just a place to live-she's looking for people who will invest in her. With the right combination of activity, structure, training, and love, this smart and spirited young dog has incredible potential to become an amazing companion.

Her adoption fee is $295 and includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip.

If you're looking for a VERY active, intelligent dog and are excited about continuing her training, keeping her busy, and giving her the structure she needs to thrive, Purity may be your girl!

Apply to meet her today!

The Asher House's Adoption Policy
The Asher House currently focuses on adoptions within Oregon, Washington, and Idaho so that we can provide post-adoption support to our adopters and animals. If you live in one of these three states and see a dog you’re interested in, please complete our adoption application. As part of our adoption process, we ask for two references and conduct a video home check. If we believe one of our animals could be a good match for you, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet for everyone in your household, including your current dog(s). This gives everyone an opportunity to meet and helps us determine together whether the adoption is the right fit. Our goal is always to create safe, loving, and successful lifelong matches for our animals and their adopters. All of our adoptable animals are on our website www.theasherhouse.com.
