Puppy Princess<br/> <br/>Age: 5 years<br/>Weight: 27kg/60lbs<br/>Height: 23 inches<br/> <br/>Hello friends, I’m Puppy Princess!<br/><br/>The first thing you should know about me is that I don’t know any tricks or commands, and I’m not really interested in learning any. I’m an independently minded and determined lady who is looking for a kind and patient person to love me for being my genuine sweet and sassy self. My ideal day starts and ends with a sniff walk around the block where I choose the direction and pace. I like to lay in the grass, catch a sunbeam, and take in all the delicious smells in the neighbourhood while you slowly walk beside me or scroll on your phone. I enjoy meeting new friends but I don’t want to play with dogs, people, or toys. Currently, I live with a high-energy husky and a grouchy cat. I like them both! We don’t play or cuddle, but simply enjoy each other’s company. <br/><br/>The second thing you should know about me is that I’m a tripod. I came to New Hope Dog Rescue with an injured and very sore front leg, and the best thing for me was to have it removed. Although I have limited mobility, I’m recovering well and learning to get around just fine. Every day I walk a little further and can get on the couch, jump in the car, and open doors like any other dog. My perfect home will need to keep me slim and provide me with an enriched life despite my preference to stay indoors, lounge around, and eat snacks.<br/> <br/>Speaking of the couch, I love everything about being an inside dog. I’m grateful to spend the days snoozing in my big fluffy dog bed, eating tasty meals, and getting treats for being cute. I’m low energy and quiet; I don’t bark but make a cute little “yip” when I’m excited. I love exploring the yard, digging in the dirt, and slowly chasing birds but I would be happy in an apartment or condo too, as long as you take me for strolls and excursions a few times a day. <br/><br/>I love my foster mom but I’m still shy around new people, particularly men. I’m getting braver and more interested in people every day. When I’m nervous, I want to run away and hide. But even when I was in a lot of pain and terrified, I was sweet and gentle. I show affection in more subtle ways like helicopter tail wags, little kisses, and gentle snuggles. My new family will need to be patient and loving as I get used to the people, smells, and sounds of my new home. <br/><br/>Adoption fee is $295. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and fully vaccinated.

New Hope Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
New Hope Dog Rescue is a registered non-profit and foster-based organization that has been rescuing and rehoming dogs in need since 2003. To provide a safe, foster-based environment for neglected and unwanted dogs, while promoting the human animal bond through education and community outreach. All of the dogs who join our program are partnered with loving and dedicated foster parents who open their homes to these animals in need.  Foster families also help provide the care the dogs require until they can be matched with adoptive, permanent homes. Every dog receives proper medical care while with New Hope. This will range from the basics (vaccinations, deworming, microchip, spay/neuter), while others will require more extensive care (anything from dental work, to corrective surgery, to treatment of skin conditions).  We rely on donations and support from the community to allow us to cover these medical expenses and to carry out and continue our mission. We are always in need of adopters, foster homes, donors and volunteers. That is 4337 dogs given a better chance at life, 40337 dogs that had no hope before that were given a new hope and a new chance.   In the first year (2003) 29 dogs were adopted into loving homes, now we average 250 dogs a year. This would not be possible without the amazing support of our community and loving families that open their hearts and homes to a dog in need.  Whether it is fostering, volunteering, adopting, donating- it makes a world of difference for these dogs and thank you to everyone that has helped make our first 20 years as successful as it has been. Why adopt from New Hope? All of our dogs are health-checked by a veterinarian, and are up to date on needed vaccinations All dogs are micro chipped- a permanent identification for your dog Dogs over 5 months old are spayed/neutered If something unforeseen happens and you cannot keep your dog, New Hope will take the dog back into our foster care program- we will always be here for our adopted dogs. Our dogs live in home environments as a member of the family, which gives us a great sense of what they will be like in your home as well! This also helps ensure that they are well socialized. Most importantly, you save a life! Why foster for New Hope? New Hope provides all the needed supplies to foster including, but not limited to; food, leash, collar, crate, toys and bowls.  Training support, obedience classes and daycare hours are also provided.  On top of all this any medical care that is required, vaccinations, micro chipping, spay/neuters and anything else that the dog needs well in New Hope’s care is covered!  If you have a vacation coming up, we can accommodate that too.  What we ask of you is to provide a safe, loving and warm home for a dog in need of a temporary place to stay while awaiting adoption.  Most importantly, you save a life! Why donate to New Hope?
