Puppy Dolly's Story

Dolly is an adorable Sharpei puppy, about six months old now. Dolly is cute, playful, lovable, and very spunky. She has already been spayed and had her entropion (eyelid) surgery. Dolly is reactive to other dogs, meaning she gets very excited on leash when she sees them. This is a common behaviour in dogs and she’s a very young dog so with good training and owner skills is highly likely that this will improve. We do expect that she would adjust to having another dog in the house with good introductions, especially a calm male as she has been living with her brother Teddy. Experience will be an asset, and we do think that Dolly would do best in a home with a fence yard.
We think she would be OK with kids, but we are really not looking for a family because we think that she needs lots of attention with respect to being reactive and wouldn’t want her to go out on leash with children who would not be prepared to deal with that. But we certainly love to have families adopt from us so if there is a family who is capable of training her, then we would welcome an application.
Due to an unforeseen accident to one of her adopters, we now are looking for a new home for Dolly (and her brother Teddy.)
Please email vspr@shaw.ca or reach out through Petfinders.
