Effective on June 2, 2020: Forsyth County Animal Shelter (FCAS) is re-opened for limited essential services. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shelter has temporarily suspended walk-in visitors in order to maintain and follow CDC safe social distancing and hand hygiene guidelines. Forsyth County Animal Shelter will be conducting adoptions by appointment only. To view our adoptable animals, please select, “Adoptable Animals” on our web page, https://www.forsythco.com/Departments-Offices/Animal-Shelter, and take note of the animals name and number that you are interested in adopting. To schedule an adoption appointment please fill out an adoption application. Applications can be found on our main web page. Once the form is completed in its entirety, email your application to adoptions@forsythco.com. An adoption specialist from the shelter will call you to review the information and set up an appointment. All adoptions requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The adoption fee is $85 per animal. Adoption fees include age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, flea and tick preventative, heartworm test and prevention for dogs and a combo test (Feline Leukemia and FIV) for cats.
