Pumpkin's Story
Pumpkin is sweet, gentle, and full of light — the kind of dog whose calm presence makes everything feel softer. She moves through the world with an easy confidence, happy to relax by your side, soak in the moment, and simply be part of your day. Loving and affectionate, Pumpkin brings a quiet joy that feels effortless and sincere.

Estimated to be around 1–2 years old, Pumpkin has a beautifully balanced temperament. She’s young but not wild, playful but not demanding, and perfectly content with low-key days and cozy routines. Rescued from a field, Pumpkin has shown nothing but resilience and trust, settling quickly into safety and comfort.

Pumpkin is incredibly people-loving and socially at ease. She greets new faces immediately, shows no hesitation with strangers, and is completely comfortable being handled — from petting and grooming to vet visits. She is wonderful with children of all ages and loves interacting, playing, and sharing affection with her people.

When it comes to other dogs, Pumpkin truly shines. She adores canine companionship and thrives with a dog sibling to play with, wrestle, and lounge beside. Her play style is playful and engaging, yet she remains submissive and easygoing, sharing toys and food without issue. While she loves having a canine friend, she’s confident enough to do well as an only dog too.

Pumpkin is still learning some basics like potty training, leash walking, and crate training, as she hasn’t had much previous experience with them. That said, she is eager to please, responds beautifully to gentle correction and redirection, and learns well with consistency and patience. Her energy level is moderate — she enjoys a daily walk or backyard playtime but is just as happy relaxing afterward.

Adaptable, affectionate, and wonderfully low-maintenance, Pumpkin is the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into a home — filling it with warmth, calm, and unconditional love.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://petsave.formstack.com/forms/petsave_adoption_application

+++++++

Pumpkin is currently in foster care in Texas and will be transported to her approved adoptive family.

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we receive your application, our team will review it and reach out to set up an interview with one of our volunteers.
If you have any questions, please email SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com
.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both pets and families.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website:
www.stmuttsrescue.com
