Pumpernickel's Story

Meet the Bakery pups!

Sourdough, Challa, Pumpernickle, Brioche, and Rye were found by Poplar Bluff animal control in horrible condition. They posted a plea asking for a rescue to step up and take them so that they could get the care they needed and we immediately jumped in to help!

It was clear they had skin issues, but once they arrived we realized just how bad they were. They had almost no fur left and were covered in bloody scabby patches. They were clearly uncomfortable and in pain. We ran diagnostics and it was confirmed that they all had Mange (Scabies). Luckily, the mange itself is easy to get rid of, but getting their skin and fur back to where it needs will take awhile.

They have been with us for a few weeks now and they have been looking better each day. They are now ready to be adopted into loving homes! These sweet guys will continue to grow their fur back over the next couple of months and we cannot wait to see what they look like after growing with their new families!

Their adoption fee is $450. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, spay, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption.

In addition to their adoption fee, there is a $150 Puppy Package fee that includes heartworm prevention and all vaccine boosters due up to 5 months of age when the boosters are done at Jewell Animal Hospital. This is optional but recommended as it provides significant savings on these services.

Learn about our adoption process here: https://judysforgottenjewells.com/adoption-process

Any Questions?
