Pumba's Story
Pumba, a 5 pound adorable 8 year old boy deserves the best home!

March 17th he went in for dental surgery; 5 teeth removed, 4 left in his mouth. The remaining were missing already. Part of his bottom jaw is also missing, an old trauma, and a non-issue for him.

This googley-eyed, tongue hanging out cutie is tiny but mighty!

He does resource guard food and items from pets but his previous owner said he was fine with people. I mean, he's 5 pounds so he may make you swear if he puts all his force into a bite, but I doubt he could break skin with those 4 remaining teeth.

His previous owner did say he had a seizure recently. He didn't see a vet with them and he didn't have another that they are aware of. We've not seen any seizure issues and his blood work and our veterinarian said there was no concern on their part.

Pumba loves people, so someone home most often is a requirement for him as he does have some separation anxiety and to keep his soul happy, he'll need his person home or able to take him with them as they navigate life.

Pumba is just a great little guy, deserving of an amazing home to call his own.

Pumba can co-habitate with other dogs, but preference will be given to no pet homes as I think that's what he'd prefer most on a day to day basis, but he can certainly be around other dogs, visiting, without issue or concern.

FROM THE FOSTER:

Pumba is a sweet, smart, and incredibly lovable little guy with a fun and affectionate personality.

He loves burrowing under blankets, taking cozy naps, and soaking up all the snuggles and cuddles he can get⦠and truly loves nothing more than staying home with his people.

He does have a bit of separation anxiety and is a true velcro doggy, happiest when heās close to his people. While he can be a little nervous at first and may bark when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and shows his gentle, loyal nature.

Heās also a very brave boy ā Pumba conquered his fear of climbing up and down the stairs (even if he occasionally still appreciates a little help!). He sometimes even manages to hop up onto the couch all on his own. On top of that, heās already learned a new trickāsit!

With patience, consistency, and training, Pumba has all the potential to become the absolute best companion. With his playful spirit, quick learning, and loving heart, he already brings so much joy to everyone around him.

----------------------------------------

$875 ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: spay/neuter, deworming, flea/tick prevention, vaccinations, dentals if needed or any added surgical needed surgical care, food, nose to tail health exam, toys, leash|collar, winter coat (seasonal), poop bags, dishes and 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance with immediate coverage on adoption day for any illness or injury not pre-existing.

----------------------------------------

To note: the above description is relevant to this dog in it's current & previous setting.
