Puma's Story

Puma is 5 years old and 56 pounds. She can be shy at first but once she is comfortable she adores getting lots and lots of pets! She is bilingual in both Spanish and English and if you tell her to give you "besitos" (kisses) she will lick you face!

Puma recently went on a Foster FURlough field trip! Her FURlough Friend says: "Puma spent the day in a calm home environment. We went on quiet neighborhood walks, ran errands together, enjoyed a car ride, and spent time relaxing indoors. She played with toys, and after some zoomies took a long nap cuddled up on the couch. Puma is a gentle and sensitive dog. Once she feels safe, she is affectionate, settles well, and shows a very sweet temperament."
Puma is:
*Very calm and polite in the home
*Settled easily
*Enjoyed sniffing on walks
*Non-reactive when another dog barked and growled at her on a walk (she continued walking calmly)
*Affectionate once comfortable and sought close contact
*Enjoyed playing with toys

Puma has been lovingly sponsored by Incredible Pets!

I have a history of living with dogs, so I may do well with a slow introduction.
I don't have a history of living with cats, so I may need a slow introduction.
I have a history of being around children and toddlers, and may do well around other kids.

If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm.
