Pugsley's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pugsley was found as a stray on the Eastern Shore of VA and dropped off at our volunteer Shannon’s house. He was so sweet that Shannon agreed to foster him once his stray hold was up. He is about 8 months old and will be neutered soon. He is using the dog door to potty outside, is quiet and a very nice boy. Cats are not a problem and although he has not met the resident dogs, we believe he will be ok with dogs.

Kindness Matters Rescue Inc.'s Adoption Policy

We currently use Facebook and outreach to showcase our animals for adoption. Potential adopters are directed to the website to fill out an adoption application which asks for information on home, other pets, family makeup, etc. We then conduct phone interviews and schedule a home visit. Once that is complete we set up a "meet and greet" and if all goes well we fill out our adoption contract.
