Pudgy's Story

Meet Pudgy!
4 years old Mixed Breed Male ~66 lbs (he insists he is not pudgy!)

Pudgy is a handsome pup with a mostly white coat and soft light-brown markings-a total heart-stealer from the moment you see him. This outgoing, loving boy is affectionate with the people he knows and trusts, and once you're in his circle, he's all loyalty and sweetness.

He may greet new folks with a few cautious barks, but that's just his way of checking things out. Give him a little time, and he'll warm right up. He also appears to be housetrained, is good on leash, and is a wonderful car buddy.

Pudgy gets along well with female dogs and could thrive with a confident canine companion-or with an adopter who understands his initial wariness and can help him feel safe.

If you're looking for a devoted friend with a big heart (and a hilarious denial about being 66 lbs), Pudgy is ready to be your loyal sidekick.

Palm Springs Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION The Compassionate Choice. Choosing to adopt an animal rather than buying from a breeder or pet shop is the easiest and best thing you can do to help reduce the number of unwanted pets. Shelters across the country are filled with wonderful dogs and cats looking for safe, loving homes. Each and every one of them deserves to be loved. Bringing a new animal into your home is a big decision. We ask all potential adopters or "guardians" to complete a comprehensive questionnaire and then meet with one of our trained adoption counselors who will help find the right pet for your lifestyle. Because your new pet is an important part of your family, we encourage you to bring ALL family members in to meet him or her, including your dog(s) if you are considering adopting one of shelter dogs. The adoption fees range from $50-$100 for a cat and $100-$180 for a dog. This low fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, a registered micro-chip, and a wellness-exam.
