Pudding's Story
Meet Pudding, an endlessly lovable girl who will brighten every corner of your life! Pudding is a people-lover through and through. When meeting new friends, she can’t help but bounce with excitement, often greeting with a happy jump and lots of tail wags before settling with all four paws on the floor for more pets. She handles busy environments beautifully and does great around strangers, kids, bikes, scooters, and crowds. In the car, she’s a total passenger princess—calm, cozy, and content to ride anywhere with you.

At home, Pudding is a delightful blend of playful energy and affectionate charm. She loves walks, playing fetch, chewing bones, and practicing her commands ("sit" and "down" are her specialties!). She’s been reported as potty trained, though like many dogs, she may have accidents during major schedule changes. Pudding is doing well learning gentler play and reducing mouthing and cobbling behaviors, and she responds to training with enthusiasm. During the workday, she does well contained to one room with the help of a light sedative for separation anxiety, though she can be destructive if routines shift suddenly. Her favorite treats—ice, yogurt lick mats, freeze-dried liver, and peanut butter Kongs—make training fun and help her settle.

Pudding’s ideal home is one where she can be with her people often—work-from-home or partially home schedules are perfect for her. She’d thrive with older kids or adults, a moderate to active lifestyle, and adopters eager to continue her training. She may pull on leash at first and has a bit of prey drive toward small animals (even fish!), so awareness is important. Pudding enjoys playing with other dogs, enjoying mutual rough and rowdy play with other boisterous pups.

Pudding has previously been treated for allergy hives, which can be maintained with Benadryl, and she comes with $600 in donated funds to help with her future cherry eye treatment. With her goofy personality, affectionate heart, and joyful spirit, Pudding is ready to fill her forever home with laughter, love, and plenty of cuddles. Could she be the sweet treat your family’s been waiting for?

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!

To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match.

About Us: Cincinnati Animal CARE proudly serves Hamilton County’s humane society needs, dog warden, and animal control services.
